Perfectly aged in a blend of sherry casks soaked with Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez dessert sherry – this whiskey is brimming with decadency fit for any rule maker (or rule breaker!) The nose is a delicate waft of smoke over freshly squeezed lemon juice, cedar wood shavings, and thinly sliced apples baked on hewn oak planks. Hues of dark dates and walnuts baked in earthen clay pots soon follow along with a splash of black brewed espresso. The flavor envelopes the tongue in waves of golden sugar syrup with a cascade of juicy raisins, sweet peach, and spring cherry blossoms over a tendril of cocoa spiced oak and honeydew melons splashed with sherry. The GlenDronach Parliament 21 year old single malt scotch finishes with a long tone of sherry mixed with hits of milk chocolate, black pepper, and warm sulpher hazed fruits. …

Un nez liquoreux et subtil qui tire sur du Sauternes bien g© ; du bois surtout un peu de natural product cuit. Une attaque un peu s¨che mais la rondeur show up vite en bouche de beaux ar'mes de vieux bois. Manque un peu de fraicheur plut't un whisky de dessert. La finale est d'abord assez plate puis se r©v¨le un peu sur la longueur ; c'est agr©able mais pas transcendant. Je lui pr©f¨re clairement le 18 ans.
